Our Most Amazing Trip Yet.
Join PleinAir Magazine Publisher Eric Rhoads on the Ultimate African Painting Safari, September 14-23, 2018
And an Optional Add-On Excursion from September 23 - 25
We’ve created the ultimate art trip, an African Safari visiting the most amazing landscapes in Africa, plus wildlife viewing.
Not only is Africa the land of wild animals and safaris, it is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth, and to the world’s largest and most spectacular waterfall.

We’ll take you safely into the South African bush, where we’ll go on a viewing and photographic safari. We’ll also set up in the bush so you can paint the landscape, and the animals that wander into it. (Guides will be with you at all times.) You’ll see the most spectacular landscapes of South Africa, including Cape Town, which has been called the world’s most beautiful city. We’ll take you to all the greatest painting locations.

September 23 - 25

One of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, and the World’s Largest and Most Spectacular Waterfall
A spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” — “The Smoke that Thunders.” In more modern terms, Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world.

This is a life-altering experience to tour and paint with the finest guides in Africa at our sides. It includes a story in PleinAir magazine, and an amazing painting experience with luxury accommodations and a well orchestrated opportunity to tour the most essential parts of Africa as only PleinAir can do.

You’ll travel with old and new friends, and return having experienced something others spend their lives dreaming about. Your paintings will be amazing memories and your photographs will remind you of this wonderful trip for the rest of your life.

What Other Artists Have Said About Our Trips...
"I went on the NZ trip as a retirement present to myself, and it totally exceeded my expectations! I could not have wished for more. The food, the sights, the painting, the weather, the camaraderie, the hospitality, all superb. I hope to join you on other adventures and paint weeks in the coming years! Just wanted to say thank you."
